Title:

Origins of Psychometric Questionnaires

Description:

Different from a standard IQ test, psychometric questionnaires are generally used to detect the psychological leanings of the ways in which people distinguish and perceive the world around them and how that perception impacts decision making. The well-known Myers-Briggs assessment was originally developed around the years of World War II by a woman named Katharine Cook Briggs and her daughter, Isabel Briggs Myers. The purpose of the test was to assist women who had decided to enter the work force for the war and was supposed to offer job seekers some guidance in where they should apply for work.
